Day 249: Ball Pits and BBQs

Sivan is new to the birthday party circuit, only having a year or so to tag along to birthday parties with her big sister.  Today we headed out for Carson's birthday party at a children's gym location.  It may have been Sivan's first visit to one of these locations in a while, so it was fascinating to see what interested her.

Ball pit.  She was ALL about the ball pit.  Once she discovered these brightly colored spheres, it was hard to tear her away.

I tried, but this is what happened.  Wherever else I took her in the gym, I'd turn around, and off she toddle and then crawled up this ramp.  All in pursuit of the balls.

Having fun with sis and friends

After the birthday party, we headed back down to the synagogue for our Back to Shul BBQ.  Food was delicious, and we had some time to play in the moon bounce and playground before we headed home, wilted from the heat.

No playground or moon bounce for this girl.  Just as she was with the ball pit earlier in the morning, she was of a singular mind - all about the cones.  They used to be in a straight line, intended to dissuade children from going around the back of the moon bounce towards the motor.  Clearly she disagree with the line.

She seemed happy with the new arrangement.

And then I convinced her to replace the cones in their original location.  She was quite happy to comply, as long as she got to hang with the cones.
