Day 341: Strong Girl

We couldn't find Michal's backpack when we were getting ready to head home from her after care program. Turns out she left it in the gym (I'm still not entirely sure I understand why), so we headed down there to pick it up. As Michal was putting on her jacket, Sivan tried to be helpful and carry the backpack for her big sister.

It's more than half her size, but she did admirably.

Day 340: Party Girl Redux

Another birthday party today - this time, for the six year old daughter of good friends of ours. Clearly much more up Michal's alley, although Sivan did enjoy herself, despite avoiding the piƱata that would not break.

Big time into building and connecting toys here. She could have played with these for a good long while.

Good thing we have some at home.

Such concentration.

Day 339: Party Girl

We split up this morning - Michal and I went to shul (synagogue) and Josh took Sivan to her friend Jonah's birthday party at the JCC.  She had a good time, dragging hula hoops around and playing with her daddy. This is one picture Josh sent. Love her.

Day 338: Monkey See...

We are really finding ourselves in the midst of very strong big sister/little sister love. It's fantastic. Most of the time. I think I've only heard Michal say once or twice this week, "She's bothering me" - otherwise it's lots of hero worship and little sister love.

On Sivan's side of things, she's a big fan of her sister, and while she is often quite content doing her own thing, sometimes it is simply imperative that she join Michal in some escapade. Whether it is trying to climb brick walls, crying because she can't climb on top of the retaining wall that Michal is now traversing, or wanting to roll down the hill with her big sister.

Don't worry. I didn't let her roll all the way from the top. We walked down to nearly the bottom. I tried to help her roll, and she ended up scootching down the last 1/8 of the hill on her tush. Totally counts.

This is a new favorite picture.

Day 337: Early Morning

When you wake your parents up at 5:00 am for no apparent reason (although I'm tempted to blame teeth in this case, second set of molars to be specific), it is just not fair that you fall asleep just in time to have to run out the door to get to day care. It's especially unfair when you are beyond adorable, thereby making it impossible for anyone to actually be mad at you.

I need a nap.

Day 336: Good Morning!

Considering she woke up at 6:00 am, screaming and upset, she seems awfully chipper.

Day 335: Late Night

Tonight was one of those crazy nights where both Josh and I had to work late (it's 11:01 pm as I write this, and he isn't even home yet!), so Michal ended up going to Marisol's house after school. The girls stayed there until I picked them up much later than I would like.

They don't seem to have minded. I believe cupcakes were involved.

Yes, that is a cupcake in Sivan's hand. No, she would not let me take it from her. It made bedtime rather interesting.
